Santa Claus came . . .

to Oak Run Middle School where CCC members treated the children and teachers of Hill Country Students with Visual Impairments to a wonderful morning of fun, laughter, gift giving and of course, Santa.  It was a cool and rainy day but that didn’t dampen the spirits one bit.

The Christmas spirit was set by the students of Adventures in Music as they played Christmas Carols on their guitars.  There was plenty of good eats for everyone to strengthen them as they waited their turn to visit with Santa Claus. And visit they did . . .

As expected Santa did have lots of presents and Santa’s helpers were there to give them out.  Then came the ripping and tearing of paper followed by the smiles as they opened their presents.

Santa's Helpers

Many thanks to the members of CCC.  Thank you for fundraising, buying and wrapping presents, providing food and entertainment, and for being there to enjoy the morning with these children.  Special thanks goes to Mitzi Hill-Kendall of CCC for spearheading this whole project and to the teachers of these fine students.
